What is CERARICA concept?
" CERARICA " is a nickname for the wax of life, a protective substance produced by living organisms, combining the Spanish words "cera" meaning "wax" and "rica" meaning "abundant." It is a unique natural material used in a wide range of applications, from high-tech information recording materials such as copy toner to everyday cosmetics such as hair wax. Our company first proposed the " CERARICA Initiative" more than 30 years ago in 1990, a new concept that involves planting trees in the CERARICA areas of developing countries and harvesting the wax of life produced by living organisms, thereby revitalizing the villages of local farmers suffering from poverty and improving the environment through the expansion of greenery
Our company has been highly praised as a new model for achieving both economic development and environmental improvement overseas, including through a JICA project in China to produce snow wax using scale insects, as well as in Vietnam, Malaysia, Cuba, Mexico, etc. Our company was also featured as an alien company in the best-selling book "I've Worked for a Thousand Years" by Oya Prize-winning author Nomura Susumu, and after that, amidst the boom in long-lived companies, our company was featured in the 300th anniversary program of the popular TV show "Gachi-ri Monday" as an interesting company that has a long history but is working on developing a lickable wax, along with Kongo Gumi, the world's oldest company
