CERARICA NODA is located in Aikawa Town, Ai-Ko District, Kanagawa Prefecture, one of the few towns in Japan where the Japanese character for "love" overlaps. Approximately 50 years ago, both our headquarters and factory moved from Minami-Aoyama, Minato Ward, Tokyo, and our Kitami Factory, located among fields next to Seijo Gakuenmae, to this lush, green "town of overlapping love." With the Tanzawa Mountains at its back, this laid-back "town of overlapping love" continues to develop as we enter the 21st century. The opening of the Sagamihara-Aikawa Interchange and the Ken-o Atsugi Interchange on the Metropolitan Intercity Expressway has improved accessibility, and plans are underway for the linear motor car's Hashimoto Station (a 20-30 minute drive from our office on National Route 129), scheduled for opening in 2027

Our factory's predecessor was the prestigious Kita Wax Factory, founded 91 years ago in Nagahama, Ozu City, Ehime Prefecture. The company went out of business in 2012, but President Taizo Noda believed that "for the development of the wood wax industry, we must never let good rivals die out," and, despite the difficulties, he was filled with ambition and purchased the company, restarting the extraction and production of Japan wax . Japan's oldest "eco-friendly working boiler," located within the company, is now operating vigorously again, and together with Japan's oldest movable bridge, "Akabashi," located nearby, the boiler has become a tourist symbol of the local Ozu City Nagahama area

Towards the end of the Sengoku period, Tokugawa Ieyasu prepared for the Battle of Sekigahara by building stables in what is now Bakurocho, Nihonbashi, Chuo Ward. It is said that this is how the area known today as "Bakurocho" got its name

In the past, it was a bustling town lined with vibrant clothing wholesalers, but now it has become a cultural district where many galleries and artists gather. Bakurocho is sandwiched between the downtown areas of Asakusa and Ryogoku and Akihabara and Nihonbashi, and has excellent transportation access. There are many lines, including Bakurocho Station (JR), which is five minutes from Tokyo Station, Bakuroyokoyama Station (Toei Shinjuku Line), and Higashi-Nihonbashi Station (Toei Asakusa Line), making it a town with excellent access to central Tokyo, Chiba, Saitama, and even Kanagawa and Tsukuba

*Please contact our head office by phone (046-285-1265 (main)) before coming to avoid being rude if we are not there
