Hazenomi School opens
While new demand for Japan wax is increasing year by year, primarily for luxury cosmetics, we are currently facing the issue of a shortage of harvesters due to the aging of harvesters of the wax tree (Haze no Mi), the raw material for wax. Therefore, our young employees have spent five years learning the techniques from masters, working tirelessly through rain and snow, and have opened a new "Haze no Mi School" to teach this safe harvesting method to people in various regions, particularly young people in the Shikoku and Kyushu regions
The first school was attended by an amazing number of about 50 local high school students. The "Haze no Mi School" aims to get today's young people interested in Haze trees in a new way, so we will continue to actively promote it in the future, aiming to increase the number of young harvesters and expanding the program to Wakayama and other areas where the grape Haze logs, which have become popular on TV, were discovered by high school students
