What is a food release agent?

To remove the molded product from the mold, oil is required to make it easier to remove

In the case of a taiyaki maker, the substance that acts like "butter" or "oil" and is applied to the mold before pouring the batter is called a "mold release agent."

Mold release agents prevent the molded product from adhering too closely to the mold and reduce the friction that occurs when the molded product is removed from the mold. They are also used in machines such as automatic "enveloping machines" that make manju

This allows the beauty of the molded product to be maintained while also preventing damage to the mold
