What is CERARICA concept?

" CERARICA " is a nickname for life wax, a protective substance produced by living things that combines the Spanish words CERA, which means "wax," and RICA, which means "rich." It is a very unique natural material that is used in a wide range of applications, from high-tech information recording materials such as copy toner to everyday cosmetics such as hair wax. By planting trees in the inland areas of developing countries and harvesting the life wax ( CERARICA ) produced by life, we are revitalizing villages for local farmers suffering from poverty, and also improving the environment by expanding greenery. More than 30 years ago, in 1990, we first proposed a new concept that could achieve both: CERARICA concept.

In addition to the JICA project in China to produce snow wax using scale insects, this method has been highly praised as a new model that can achieve both economic development and environmental improvement in countries such as Vietnam, Malaysia, Cuba, and Mexico.
